Book Chat with Richard Wolin, author of The Wind from the East

Published May 7, 2012

Jeremy Cohan spoke with Richard Wolin, distinguished Professor of History at the City University of New York Graduate Center, on his recent book The Wind from the East: French Intellectuals, the Cultural Revolution, and the Legacy of the 1960s, just out in paperback. The book records the strange legacy of Maoism in France in the late 60s and 70s and how it played an unanticipated role in galvanizing young leftists and ultimately ending the predominance of Marxism on the Left.

Monday, May 7th. 7 PM - 9 PM
NYU Kimmel Center (60 Washington Square South), room 912.

The event was free and open to the public. Refreshments were served.
